Working closely with SFHG, WA Designs designed and developed a bespoke Joomla! website that combines elegant design with powerful functionality. Every page has been carefully structured to guide visitors through the Society's extensive resources, membership benefits, searchable databases, publications and events. Built with responsive design, intuitive navigation and strong SEO foundations, the website delivers a seamless experience across desktop, tablet and mobile devices. Founded in 1972, the Sussex Family History Group supports around 2,500 members worldwide and provides access to more than 6.2 million Sussex family history records through its online archive.

The Sussex Family History Group (SFHG) required a modern website capable of supporting thousands of members whilst providing easy access to one of the UK's largest collections of Sussex genealogical records. The objective was to create a fast, intuitive platform where members and visitors could research family history, browse millions of historical records, access exclusive member resources and engage with the society's events and publications.

The finished website provides Sussex Family History Group with a professional digital platform that reflects over fifty years of genealogical research and community collaboration. Members can quickly search historical records, access exclusive databases, browse publications, discover upcoming talks and conferences, and manage their membership through an easy-to-use online experience.

Powered by Joomla!, the website gives the Society complete control over its growing archive, events, news and membership content while providing a scalable platform that can continue expanding as new historical records become available. The result is a responsive, SEO-focused website that strengthens the Society's online presence while helping preserve Sussex's rich history for future generations.
